Driving has been my passion since my vehicle was a tricycle, and I progressed through bikes and farm tractors before passing my car test at 17. After a brief post-college stint working in agricultural machinery, I passed my LGV test, driving trucks all over the UK and Europe before family life brought me back home and into freight forwarding. After successfully teaching my two teenagers to drive (and thoroughly enjoying the experience!), I decided to change career, training with Supreme and joining this great team of instructors.

I am a relaxed and unflappable instructor who will help you to progress at your own speed, tailoring my instruction to suit each individual and their learning style – so whether you are desperate to get on the road or feeling a little daunted by the prospect, I can help you achieve your aims.

My distinctive pale grey Ford Puma is comfortable and easy to drive, with all the mod-cons that can help you feel at home behind the wheel straight away, including hill start assist, rear camera and heated seats.

Ed Beighton, what a star. I have 17 yr old twin boys. Their first driving experience was with Ed. We couldnt have chosen a better instructor. After each lesson Ed fully debriefed them and me and keep me informed of their progress at every stage. He is very calm, friendly and has a great manner that connected well with my twins. The boys loved his car and said it was good to drive. Needless to say they have both passed their tests First Time.
