Experience That Helps You Feel Safe

Driving has been a passion of mine for as long as I can remember, beginning with tricycles, bicycles and farm tractors before passing my car test at 17.

I later worked with agricultural machinery, passed my LGV test and drove commercial vehicles throughout the UK and Europe.

After successfully helping my own teenagers learn to drive, I decided to bring that experience into professional driver training.

I completed my instructor training with Supreme School of Motoring and now enjoy helping pupils develop the confidence, awareness and practical skills needed for life on the road.

Every learner is different, so I adapt each lesson around your confidence, experience and learning style.

If something does not make sense straight away, I will explain it differently, break it into manageable steps or use visual tools to help make it clearer.

If you make a mistake, we will discuss it calmly, understand why it happened and use it positively to improve your driving.

My aim is not simply to help you pass your driving test. I want you to understand how to drive safely and confidently in everyday situations long after your test is over.

Absolutely. Many pupils begin lessons feeling nervous, anxious or unsure of themselves.

My calm and patient approach helps you feel safe, understand what is happening and progress without unnecessary pressure.

We will discuss what happened and adapt the lessons around the support and teaching style that works best for you.

You will learn in a pale-grey Ford Puma manual car.

It is comfortable, easy to drive and fitted with useful features including hill-start assistance and a reversing camera.

Where useful, I can also use diagrams and visual teaching tools to demonstrate road layouts, manoeuvres and more complex situations.

Ryan Allum – I learnt to drive, not merely to pass

Ed was an incredible instructor.

He breaks down situations and manoeuvres in an easy-to-understand way, making the whole experience feel relaxed.

I did not just learn how to pass a test. I learnt how to drive.

— Ryan Allum

Bridget Gooding – Extra preparation for a last-minute test

I cannot recommend Ed highly enough.

When a last-minute test cancellation became available in Colchester, Ed went above and beyond to support Teddy.

Although most of his lessons had taken place in Witham, Ed put in extra hours and took him to Colchester so he could practise the roads and build confidence before the test.

Absolutely amazing service. Thank you so much, Ed.

— Bridget Gooding

He is calm, friendly and has a brilliant manner that connected extremely well with both boys.

They enjoyed learning in his car and both passed their tests first time.

We would highly recommend Ed and Supreme.

— Clive, Jo, Aaron and Luke Wells
