My name is Bob Jemmott and I am a highly experienced DVSA Approved Driving Instructor providing manual driving lessons throughout Colchester, Clacton-on-Sea and the surrounding Essex areas.

Over the years, I have helped more than 1,000 learners gain their driving licence and become safe, confident and independent drivers.

Before becoming a driving instructor, I served in the military before going on to drive HGV vehicles throughout the UK and Europe.

The experience I gained from driving professionally in many different environments is something I now bring into every lesson.

Coaching You to Become a Safe Driver

I believe the best learning happens when pupils fully understand what they are doing and why they are doing it.

Rather than simply giving instructions, I often use questions to help you think about the road, assess situations and make safe decisions for yourself.

This coaching style creates a calm and relaxed learning environment while helping you become a more independent driver.

Every pupil learns differently, so lessons are adapted around your experience, confidence and the way you learn best.

If something does not go to plan, we will discuss what happened, understand why it happened and work together to improve it without unnecessary pressure.

My aim is not simply to help you pass your driving test. I want you to develop safe driving habits that stay with you long after test day.

Every learner is different. The number of lessons you need will depend on your previous experience, confidence, ability and whether you can practise privately between lessons.

I will regularly review your progress and clearly explain what you need to work on before taking your driving test.
