When can I start driving?
For most people this is 17, but if you are getting Disability Living Allowance at the higher rate then you can start at 16.
You can apply for a provisional licence up to three months before your 17th birthday. (If you intend to ride a moped, you can apply when you 16). You cannot book or take any test until your licence arrives.

How long will my lesson be?
A full hour or 1 ½ hours, 2 hours or 3 hour lessons depending on your requirements.

How will my lessons be structured?
Lessons will be made up of demonstration and practical elements, depending on the topic and your ability. Instructors will provide you with a lesson guide to keep you informed of your progress throughout your tuition.

The Driving Standards Agency’s guidance is that an average pupil will require 45 hours of formal driving tuition, with an additional 20 hours private practice, but somewhere between 30 and 45 hours is a rough guide, but as everyone learns at a different pace our instructors will adapt their teaching to suit the individual.

Do I have to be picked up from home or can I start/finish my lesson somewhere else?
We can start or finish your lesson wherever you want (eg school, college, work, home) but please inform us in advance so that we can ensure we have allowed sufficient travelling time between lessons.

Are all your instructors fully qualified?
Yes all instructors are fully qualified Driving Standards Agency (DSA) registered ADIs. You should always ask to see their valid green badge which must be displayed in the car whenever they are teaching.
